Writing down a few notes should not take more than a few seconds, otherwise it would not be worth the effort. If you want to put your thoughts on "paper", you can use any text editor, but if you are looking for efficiency, you should try NoteSync. It combines various features, including simplicity and security, on a small and elegant user interface. All you have to do is type your ideas and the application will save them automatically. If you need to locate a certain note, just type a keyword in the appropriate field.

NoteSync is available for Windows and Android platforms. The Windows edition is freeware and it can be downloaded in a few moments. The 1.38 MB setup file is in .air format, so you should make sure that Adobe Air is installed on your computer. A constant Internet connection is also recommended, if you want to enjoy the application's core functionality.

Notes are created and selected on the upper half of NoteSync's compact interface and you can view their contents on the lower half. It is sufficient to click an icon, in the upper right corner of the window, to create a new note. Once created, you may type its title and contents. Notes are saved automatically, so you don't need to click any options when you are done. If you are looking for a specific note, you can type your keywords in a search box, to filter your notes by their titles or contents.

Clicking the main window's title bar will hide everything, except for the title bar. You may drag the bar to any location on the screen and when you need to review a note, you just need to click the bar a second time. The application allows you to sort your notes alphabetically or by their modification dates and change the font size. The best part about NoteSync is the fact that it synchronizes your notes with a Google Docs account. This is done automatically, every minute, but you can also click a button, on the lower edge of the interface, to synchronize your notes manually.

When you launch the application for the first time, you will have to provide your Google Docs (or Gmail) log in credentials. NoteSync will not ask you for the username and password in the future, unless you sign out. This allows multiple users to create and store their notes, with their own Google accounts. The software uses a secure HTTPS connection to synchronize notes and it encrypts local files. In other words, your notes will remain secure.

Pros

NoteSync interface is simple and its functions are very easy to use. NoteSync allows you to create and store notes instantly and it synchronizes them with your Google Docs account. You can sort your notes or use keywords to filter them. The application synchronizes notes automatically, each minute, but you can do it manually as well.

Cons

You have to pay for the application's Android edition. Fortunately, it is not expensive. NoteSync will change the way you take notes on your computer or mobile phone. Due to its simple, but effective design, it takes a single click to make your notes available on any computer in the world.
